John Santos, 67, of Cranston, RI, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Tough on the outside, but soft on the inside, he was known for his work ethic and light-hearted sense of humor. John was born in Sao Antao, Cape Verde to Francisco and Gertrude Dos Santos and is survived by Adriana, his devoted wife of 34 years; daughters Maria Torres (Enoc) of Manville, Rhode Island and Suzelle Santos-Wagner (Brandon) of West Hartford, Connecticut; grandchildren Christopher and Kristen Torres; and siblings Marcelino Dos Santos, of Angola; and Alice Santos Britto, Elvira Santos Dias, Celestino Dos Santos, Atanasio Dos Santos, Matilda Santos, and Domingos Dos Santos, all of Rhode Island; as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family all over the world. Never fully retired, John was still working as a longshoreman at the time of his death and leaves behind many coworkers turned friends of more than 30 years. He loved playing the guitar, working with his hands, and cooking for family and friends. He will be forever missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, January 11th from 9:00 – 11:00am at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral home service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
